I went to a place in Saratoga prior to going to Dr. Billington that told me my only option was surgery, which they wouldn't even recommend that because of the risks. I finally took my dentists advice and booked an appointment with Dr. Billington, which was a farther drive, out of desperation. They suggested a mouth guard because he said I ground my teeth. I was very dubious because all my previous dentists and the prior tmj place said I do not grind, but Dr. Billington said he saw the evidence, it was like a sideways grind, not top down. I begrudgingly paid the $$$ for the mouthguard, even though I was pretty upset bc I didn't think anyone knew what they were talking about. I was probably pretty snarky, bc the pain made me constantly irritated. Low and behold, it freaking worked. It was pricey, and of course not covered by insurance, but knowing what I know now, that it would actually work, I would have paid that price many times over. So so so so happy I went here instead of living with the pain forever, or getting surgery. It is 100% worth a try. I am actually writing this review like 3 years after my initial visit. I visited this office hoping to get genuine medical help for severe, painful TMJ symptoms. Unfortunately, my experience felt much more like a high-pressure sales pitch than a medical consultation.I was charged $400 out-of-pocket for an initial office visit because they do not take insurance, I even cashed my insurance to see if there was anything I can do to help with the huge financial burden, I submitted the claim & was denied.. During this appointment, the doctor spent the vast majority of the time talking at me rather than listening to my symptoms & whenI was able to finally explain how painful and difficult this is to even go to work, It was minimized and dismissed.(I was given a prescription for anti-inflammatory medication) They only performed only a very brief physical examination if you can call it that, And before conducting any diagnostic imaging—such as X-rays—he immediately recommended a $2,500 custom retainer package, stating we could start taking X-rays (which would cost even more money out of pocket) and come up with a game plan at the next visit.Recommending a multi-thousand-dollar treatment plan prior to any diagnostic testing felt entirely backward and exploitati

I am ecstatic with my experience at Dr. Billingtons office. He explained everything thoroughly using a combination of photos, diagrams, and models. He attentively listened to my concerns and gave me a treatment plan specific to my needs. Dr. Billington and his entire staff were friendly and I can't thank them enough!

Dr. Billington is an extremely talented and empathetic TMJ doctor. At a time where most doctors and oral surgeons rip you off for TMJ treatment, his practice is very different. Even though they are out of network for my dental and medical insurance, they try to get as much of the treatment costs covered by the insurance. Jessica, who is at the front desk at Dr. Billington's practice is extremely efficient and gets all paperwork sorted for the patients in minutes. Highly recommended if you happen to be suffering from TMJ disorders/orofacial pain. I am glad that such good doctors survive in the area - more power to them!

Dr. Billington is AMAZING. Your first appointment isn't rushed. He takes the time to get acquainted with you. After the exam, he explains your specific issue, but makes sure you understand how the jaw works, using layman's terms, images and models. He also frequently checks in to see if you have questions. You walk out knowing a lot about the jaw and what he's specifically doing to try to treat it. The assistants/other staff are also awesome. At my first appointment, the receptionist, unprompted, specifically pointed out what each dollar amount was for and what it does, etc, so I understood the bill. 12/10 recommend.

I recently had my first appointment at this office, and it was honestly the best health-related appointment/experience I've had. The 3 people I interacted with during the visit were all really genuine and kind, and Dr. Billington was so knowledgeable and positive. He took time to explain everything and was very reassuring about my condition. In a time when so many health-related visits feel rushed and impersonal, this was the complete opposite.

Just had my first visit with Dr. Billington and it was hands down the best doctor appointment I have ever had. The exam was comprehensive and he thoroughly explained what he was doing and all of his findings. I felt like he and his staff truly cared and took the time to listen to my concerns. Everyone I met seemed to enjoy what they do and were warm and inviting. Somehow I left with a big smile on my face even after being told I have arthritis in my jaw! The medical field could use more providers like him and all of the lovely staff I got to meet today.
